PRANJALI & MAYANK (WEDDING)
PRANJALI & MAYANK
—-28-29 FEB’16 WEDDING—-
After a happening and love- filled engagement of the duo, Pranjali and Mayank, (which can be seen here) with months of preparations and anxiety to be together since the beginning, were now ready to be a ‘Happily Married’ couple.
An Indian wedding is not just a marriage of two people but a grand event of family gathering with festive mood and every bit from food to clothes, so full of flavours and colours that can’t be witnessed elsewhere worldwide.
Colours, grubs, drapes and smiling faces all around. This is what an Indian wedding is composed of. And of course, a camera to smile at and preserve these compositions of the big night.
For those who aren’t much aware, the wedding starts a day before with Sangeet, music, to the rhythm of which dances not only the bride-to-be and groom-to-be but their whole families who are just starting to get in form to enjoy this couple to be tied in a knot. It’s the day before finale and families are drunk in music with their heels dancing to the beats. It was not just the families but Pranjali and Mayank as well started to get a feel of their lifelong bound love which was perfectly portrayed in their dance moves and gleeful expressions, no matter what angle I shoot them from. The friends and families, mothers and daughters; every person was tangled in dancing venture. Sangeet just brings out all the bollywood memorised dance moves in every person present in that moment. With everyone hooping around having the finest music for ears, its a feast to all senses of human body.
With end of one function, there’s time for another. Its never an easy end for fun lovers. The very next day, Pranjali, bride-to-be is up for Haldi. She was looking stunning as ever reflecting all the joy and happiness in her yellow saree. She had all the time to gossip, laugh and have merry time with the relatives. Alongside, Mayank, in his sober kurta pyjama, sat for pooja where he outright all the rituals and wished for a bright future ahead for both of them. Pranjali as well was up to her part of devotion to the rituals and made all the wishes a bride could for the prosperity of one and all.
How can one imagine to be possibly done with a segment of big wedding day without being stupid with friends and be the crazy people they are as in usual times. Once you’re done with the responsibilities, its time for friends and when I mention friends, its nothing but lively grins and laughters. Its a delight to be blessed with friends who are known since the old times and now having them in a life changing event is a pleasure for all. Mayank was his crazy self with his friends and cousins without having to shy away and his friends equally returned the favor.
As the day passed and moments fell short to laugh harder and smile broader, it was time for the bride and groom to buckle up for their night of life. Pranjali was ready to be soaked in colors of red and green giving away the vibes of love and purity. Her jewelry blended with her beauty to make her look even prettier than Sangeet occasion. Not just the gleaming face and vibrant Lehenga were showing off the grace and elegance of the bride, her henna designs on arms and feet were some more winsomeness. From head to toe, Pranjali was wrapped in detailed art work of the ear-rings and the Maang-tika and the Lehenga and what not.
In the luster of Pranjali’s grandeur, Mayank wasn’t veiled either. He was all set to go for his Pranjali in the color of new beginnings, white and red signifying the passion and emotions he felt deep inside.
And families too..
There was a moment too where bride and groom are not suppose to see each other just before wedding but things has to be communicated.
At this point, everyone is on call to be present at the wedding to witness the togetherness of bride and groom. All the groom’s relatives danced their happiness all the way to Pranjali’s place while Mayank reached on ghodi, as a groom is supposed to.
After the groom and bride are together, its time for Jaymala. Mayank puts on the garland on Pranjali and Pranjali puts on the garland on Mayank just after. This! This moment was to be captured as the magical one where they were close to each other and even closer to the fact that they’re now forever of each other.
With beautifully set up Mandap to take place the rituals in, Pranjali and Mayank were now to the phase where their knots will be tied for a lifelong journey together. It was everything they were waiting for, the families were together here for no other purpose but to bless the couple with life full of love and happiness. This was a divine sanction. Now, here, with all the rituals and customs taken place, the marriage was complete.
It was now a beginning to a new life.
Best wishes to Pranjali & Mayank from Mayankesh & team
